Our new paper, “Influence of Metal Transfer Modes and Process Conditions on WAAM-Fabricated AM46 Carbon Steel Walls,” presents a systematic experimental and analytical study of WAAM lab-scale specimens.

We investigate how process parameters and metal transfer modes (CMT, Spray, Pulsed GMAW) influence thermal history, geometry, and mechanical properties—resulting in a process–property map for AM46 carbon steel and predictive models to support property-driven WAAM process planning.
